Haul | Sephora, Winners & more

Heyy girls,

This weekend I went shopping with my friends and I bought some excited stuff. I did spend a LOT of money at Sephora, but I needed all of this makeup for my prom. I also went to Winners and Walmart. Here is what I got...

One of the places that I went was Winners. As some of you may know, I am a huge fan of this shop because you can find brand's products at a discount price. So, on this wonderful afternoon, I was looking at the wallet section to see if there was anything cute, and I found this amazing little makeup bag. It is from Calvin Klein and it was originally 78$CA, but I got it for 20$CA. Let me tell you how proud I was of myself when I took advantage of this deal.

Then, I went to Walmart to find the Rimmel Scandaleyes eyeliners, but unfortunately they were out of them. Instead I found this SPAressource pencil sharpener. It was very cheap, around 2$CA.

You'll see later in this post why I needed new face brushes, but I've heard amazing things about the Real Techniques Buffing Brush and this kit contained it. I'll do a review of this kit soon. It retails for 20$CA and it contains 4 brushes, plus a travel case. I think that you can only find them at Walmart.

Monday Challenge | All About Lipsticks

heyy girls,

on this wonderful Monday, I'm back with a Monday Challenge. Today is all about lipsticks and I'm very excited to show you what are my favorite lipsticks! I narrowed it down to a top 3, and let me tell you that it was difficult ;) It would be awesome if you could leave a comment telling me what are YOUR favorite lipsticks of the moment!

Do you wear lipstick? Never? Sometimes? Everyday?
First, I want to say that I consider lip butters as lipsticks, so in that case, I do wear lipstick "everyday". Of course, I don't wear it literally everyday because I don't even wear makeup every single day in a week.

What are your favorite shades? On the opposite side, what are the shades that you hate? or that you would never wear?
I love to wear pinks, nudes, pinky nudes. Basically, every shade that looks like "my lips but better" I LOVE. On the other side, I don't really like to wear bright colors.

What are your favorite consistency?
I love lipsticks that are the lip butters kind. I love how smooth they glide on your lips and how moisturizing they are. I also like how matte lipsticks look on me, but sometimes they are too drying.

♡ Wishlist | My 17th Birthday ♡

heyy girls,

in a couple of weeks from now it's going to be my birthday! On March 5th, I'll turn 17 years old and I'm SO excited!! :) I've decided to do a birthday wishlist to take the time to think about what I would really want for my 17th birthday, and that way it can give you some ideas about what to ask for your birthday...

**I go left to right starting at the top row**

1) Sigma Eye Shadow Palette in Warn Neutral
I've never tried products from this brand, but I would love to. I've heard great things about this palette.

2) Blogilates Beast Mode Booty Short
They look so comfy! I love the message on it, the perfect motivational quote for me.

3) MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in Perfect Topping
I've wanted to try a MSF for so long, and it looked awesome in the swatches that I saw online.

4) MacBook Pro 15"
I know that it is VERY expensive but a girl can dream, right?

5) Lorac Pro Palette
I WANT THIS PALETTE SO BAD! They don't even sell it on the Sephora website :(

6) Mac 217 Blending Brush
I've never thought I would want to own a MAC brush, but I've heard that this is THE best eye blending brush.

7) Canon Rebel T3i
I definitely need a new camera, and I've been thinking about doing beauty videos recently, we'll see though ;)

8) Sigma Essential Kit - Mr. Bunny
Again, I've never tried Sigma before and girls on Youtube have been raving about this brand for years now.

♡ Ipsy Bag | February 2014 ♡

heyy girls,

When I got home the other day, a little pink package was waiting for me. If you have been reading my blog for a while, well you know what that means. It means that my Ipsy package has arrived! Let's see what I got in this February Ipsy Bag...

The first thing that I got is a full sized of a Zoya nailpolish in a very pretty light pink color named Dot. I am wearing it right now as I am writting this post and I love the formula and the staying power so far.

Next, I got this pair of false eyelashes in the style EL13 from the brand J.Cat Beauty I've tried to put false eyelashes once, but failed. I hope they will be easier to put on. I love the style though, it looks very natural.

Monday Challenge | Blue Nailpolishes

heyy girls,

I'm back this week with another Monday Challenge. This week challenge is about blue nailpolishes. I don't own a lot of them, even though I love this color, but I've decided to do it anyway. Don't forget to leave a comment saying what are your favorite blue nailpolishes! Here are the questions...

Do you wear blue nailpolish on your nails?
I'm not wearing blue nailpolish right now, but I do wear this color often on my nails because it one of my favorite colors.

What are your favorite shades of blue? Sky blue? Deep blue? Shimmery blue?
I tend to buy light blue nailpolishes because they don't look too bright compared to my very pale skin. I also gravitate towards shimmery or different looking blue nailpolishes.

First Impression & Review | Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm

heyy girls,

a couple of days ago I bought my very first Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm. I've seen them in stores for a couple of months now, and I don't know why, but I've never thought about trying them out even though I love matte products, as you can tell by my obsession for the Naked Basics by Urban Decay. So, here is my first impression and mini review of this product...

The color
I got the color Elusive. I think it is one of the most wearable colors of all the line. It is VERY pigmented, which was very surprising coming from a balm. This product doesn't look good when you have dry lips. It definitely makes them look worst. It isn't super drying on the lips though, but it's neither moisturizing. They have ten colors to choose from that go from nude to bright.

Swatch
Here is what Elusive, the only color that I own, looks like...

The staying power
It isn't super long lasting and I don't think it was meant to be that way. For me, it last 3-4 hours, and after it does leave a rosy tint of my lips before wearing off completely. I do have to reapply it after I eat.

Haul | Makeup, Clothes & more

heyy girls,

I've been shopping a little bit here and there recently, and I thought why not show you what I got? It's not much, but there were some new things that I've never tried before that I bought, and that I'm VERY excited for! Let's see what I bought...

The first thing that I bought was this Vaseline Spray & Go moisturizer. I've talked about it in a Monday Challenge about how I interesting it looks, and guess what? I bought it. #proudofmyselfforremembering (sorry that's a long #) I think it was around 8-9$CA, but I'm not sure...

I am almost out of my current eye makeup remover (review), so I decided to pick up this Garnier Fresh Eye Makeup Remover at the drugstore. I've never heard of it, but I thought I would give it a try since it looked promising to me ;) It cost 6-7$CA at the drugstore.

And I'm also out of my current facial moisturizer form First Aid Beauty (review), which I'm VERY sad about because that thing is kind of expensive, plus I LOVED it. Again, I've never heard of Neutrogena Oil-Free Sensitive Skin Ultra-Gentle Facial Moisturizer, but there were too many options. I didn't know what to pick up that wasn't too expensive. I think this was around 12$CA.

I've seen those Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm and the shiny ones for a couple of months now, but I've never really thought much about it because Revlon is expensive here in Canada, and I didn't want to spend 12$CA on a balm. But there were on sale, so I thought why not?

Monday Challenge | Mini Beauty

heyy girls,

this week I'm back with another Monday challenge! Yeah! This week is about deluxe sized samples. Basically, those products give you more products and cute & practical packaging. Here are the questions for this week challenge...

Do you like mini sized products? Why?
I do like them. I'm not obsessed with them, but I think that they are way better than regular samples. Let's be real here...the packaging is just too cute to resist!

What are your favorite mini sized products? Skincare? Makeup?
For skincare, I like the Benefit Total Moisture Facial Cream. It is perfect if you have dry to very dry skin. I also love the Josie Maran Argan Oil to use on my skin or my hair. My favorite mini sized makeup products are Benefit Watt's Up?, Urban Decay Junkie Lipgloss in Naked, and Benefit Benetint.

Do you received them as gift when you shop?
I usually receive them as gifts when I shop, for example at Sephora. Or I receive them into palettes like the Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2 palette.

♡ Eye Makeup Look Tutorial | Valentine's Day ♡

Heyy girls,

I was looking through my blog posts recently and I realized that I've never done a tutorial with the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. But I did an entire post with swatches of this palette if you're interested. Anyway, here I am today with this Valentine's Day eye makeup look. So, grab your Naked 3 palette and let's get started with this tutorial.

** Sometimes I look like I'm not wearing any eyeshadow, but it is because my camera doesn't have the best picture quality **

1- Apply an eyeshadow primer all over the lid. I used the Urban Decay Primer Potion.

2- Take a flat eyeshadow brush and put Strange all over the lid as a base color.

3- Then take the same brush and put the color Burnout all over the lid.

4- Take a big fluffy brush and put the color Limit in the crease. Do a circular motion on the outside of the crease for more definition.

5- Take the same brush and put a darker color called Factory on the outside part of the crease.

6- Take the same color of the beginning, Strange, and highlight the inner corners of your eyes.

♡ Nail Art | Valentine's Day ♡

Heyy girls,

I kind of wanted to continue with the topic of nails today since yesterday I did the Monday Challenge: Nails, Nails, Nails... I got very inspired to do a Valentine's day themed nail art. It is very simple and you don't need to be an expert at nail art to recreate it. If you try this nail art please send me a picture on Twitter :)

1- Apply a coat of your favorite base coat. I'm using All In One Base by Essie.

2- Apply 2 or 3 coats of a pink nailpolish.
Don't apply the nailpolish on the ring finger. We'll put another color later. I'm using Cute As A Button by Essie as my pink nailpolish.

Monday Challenge | Perfect Manicure

heyy girls,

what better than starting the week with a Monday Challenge? I know, I love it too ;) This week is all about nails. I've also decided to show you my top 5 favorite nailpolishes of all time. Let's get started!

What are the tools you use to accomplish a perfect manicure?
First tip that I can give is file your nails instead of clipping them. I've been doing this for the past month and I have seen improvements; my nails are definitely stronger.

What is your favorite nailpolish remover?
I've been using the Sally Handsen nailpolish remover since I can't even remember. It's just the product that my mom has been using for ever, and because of her I'm using it too. It does remove well your nailpolish, but isn't too harsh on your nails at the same time.

Do you have any nailcare products to recommend?
I don't really have cuticles oils or fancy stuff like that. The only thing that I could recommend is a good base coat that corresponds to your nails' needs.

Do you have any trick to help remove cuticles?
Not really. Maybe try to moisturize your hands more often.

What is your favorite base coat?
My favorite base coat at the moment is All in One Base by Essie. I bought at Winners at a discount price and it's probably the best deal I've ever made so far. I got it for 6 or 7 $CA and it retails for at least 10$CA at the drugstore. #proudofmyself
