Haul: Drugstore products!

heyy girls,

last week I went to the drugstore and I was determined to buy most of the newest drugstore beauty products. Surprisingly, the place where I went had only 2-3 new makeup products. I was really disappointed but I ended up getting 3 of the newest beauty products and some other stuffs. Don't forget to follow me on twitter for more updates. Let's see what I bought...

First thing that I got was the Instant Age Rewind Spot Eraser Dark Spot. The shade I got was the fair/light because I thought it was the lighter shade (It was the lighter shade available on the display) but when I got on the Maybelline website later I saw that there was a lighter shade which is fair. Maybe this is why I hated this concealer when I first tried it. The shade is too orange and dark for me but now that I see that there is a lighter shade I might go buy that one. I don't now if I should because I think it is kind of expensive. I paid it 13$ at my local drugstore...and the shade doesn't match me at all so I'm very disappointed but it is not the fault of the product.

I also got the Revlon Brilliant Strenght in the color 030 Intrigue. I'm very excited to try it out! It cost 6$ at the drugstore.

You will see this nail polish in an upcoming haul.

Fashion Friday: Spring Trends

heyy girls,

Fashion Friday is a new series that I'll do occasionally on my blog. It is all about fashion. Today we will talk about what trends we saw on the runway and which of them might hit the stores for the spring 2013. Keep in mind that this is a summary of all the trends that are the most wearable, it doesn't mean that they will all become a trend next season. This is my thoughts about the more wearable pieces that we saw on the runway.

Stripes and black & white

In the runway, black and white was very popular but what we saw the most was the stripes. I think that stripes are a wearable trend and I'm excited to see if it will be THE trend for the upcoming season. I think this trend is very basic and I love how classy it is. By the way, I'm in love with the Marc Jacobs dress below. It is so pretty!

left to right: Marc Jacobs, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors.
Bermuda shorts

Bermuda shorts might be very popular on the street and on the business clothing. We can see a more every day bermuda jean with DKNY and a more work appropriate bermuda with Suno. I don't know if I would wear bermuda during Spring because it is cold here in Canada during that time of the year. How cute are those pink and purple bermuda! Love it.

left to right: DKNY, Peter Som, Suno.
Leather

We all know that leather can be wear in different ways and as you can see below we had variety on the runway this season. I think that leather will never get old because it adds more texture to a basic look. I always wear my leather jacket during the Spring so it would be cool if leather becomes a trend.

JANUARY GLAMBAG

heyy girls,

I received my Ipsy bag not long ago and I've decided to do a review on it since I won't be subscribing for the February Ipsy Bag. I didn't unsubscribe because I hated it. I really like Ipsy but I wanted to try a new subscription service. Next month I will do a blog post about a new subscription service named Topbox. Stay tuned for that ;-) The theme of this month was "Super Stars". Let's see what I got this month...

First thing that came in my January Ipsy Bag was the Pacifica Tuscan Blood Orange Body Butter. It is a very moisturizing cream. I've been using it for a couple of days and I LOVE it. It smells sooo good! The consistency in very creamy. The full-size retails for 15$ at pacificaperfume.com.

I got the Big Sexy Hair Spray and Play volumizing hairspray. I have nothing much to say about it since I haven't tried it. Tell me in the comments below of you tried it if so tell me what you think about it. The full-size retails for 17,50$ at Ulta.

Review: Naked Palette by Urban Decay + makeup tutorial

heyy girls,

this week will be dedicated to the Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2 palettes. I know they have been on the market for already a couple of years but since it was requested I figured why not? I also asked on Hellocoton if you were interested and some of you said yes. Don't forget to follow me on twitter for more updates :) This post has 2 parts. The first one will be a short review on the Naked palette and the second will be a look created with this palette. I will list everything that I used for this look at the end. Don't miss the post about the Naked 2 by subscribing to my blog.

Part 1

I really like the Naked palette. I received it last year for my birthday and I have been playing with it since then. I'm a fan of shimmery/satiny finish eyeshadow so for me the lack of matte (there are two matte shades: Naked and Buck) wasn't a down side to it. The eye shadows are very pigmented and easy to blend. There are a lot of everyday neutrals and also some deep colors that you can use at night for a smokey eyes. The colors are all warm shades. You have to wear a primer underneath the eyeshadow if you want it to last all day.
The Naked palette comes with a mini Urban Decay Primer Potion which is my favorite eyeshadow primer and an eyeshadow brush. The brush doesn't shed and it packs on the color very well.

Review: Maybelline The Rocket mascara

heyy girls,

I couldn't contain myself to do a new post before friday. I like to share new products that I've tried with you guys so much that I've decided to do a quick review on the new Maybelline The Rocket mascara. I've been testing it for a couple of weeks now and I think I'm finally ready to give you guys my honest opinion on it. Comment below and tell me which mascara I should try next ;) I've heard by MakeupByTiffanyD on youtube that the Neutrogena Healthy Volume was really good but they didn't sell Neutrogena makeup in Canada (I want to try it so bad!!).

My everyday eye makeup tutorial

Heyy girls,
For me, school begins in a couple of days. So I've decided to do my everyday eye makeup for you guys. I do this look everyday before school. It is pretty simple but I really like it that way. It is also very natural looking which I think is appropriated for school. I don't prime my eyes in that look because the product that I use doesn't crease or wear off during the day.

Products that I used:
- Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige
- Covergirl eyeshadow trio in Shimmering Sand (the lightest color)
- ELF eyelash curler
- Maybelline The Rocket mascara

Steps:
1- Apply Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barely Beige all over the lid. You can apply it with your finger but I prefer using a brush. I have a review of that product on my blog.
