My winter skincare routine

heyy girls,

since winter arrived a little while ago I had to change up my skincare routine because my skin was getting dryer. I've been experimenting with that new routine for a couple of weeks and I'm really happy about how it turned out. I have combination to oily skin and I think this new skincare will help me for the winter. In that blog post I will show the products that I use during that cold time of the year. If you have any questions or recommendations you can leave them as a comment at the end of the post! :)

The most important things to do during the winter time are to exfoliate and moisturize. I've been loving the Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizing gel. I have a review of that wonderful product on my blog. I use the exfoliating side of Olay 2-in-1 daily facial cloths to exfoliate my skin. I exfoliate my skin 1 to 2 times a week. I really like this product because it is gentle for my sensitive skin. I recommand to exfoliate at night because when you exfoliate your skin is more vulnerable to the sun.

Clinique Dramatically Different moisturizing gel
Olay 2-in-1 daily facial cloths (I'm wearing Butler Please by Essie on my nails)

I also sometimes use the Yves Rocher Pure System pore cleansing mask for acne-prone skin instead of the Olay 2-in-1 daily facial cloths. It is a mask that you keep 3 minutes on your face before taking it of with a humid cloth. It did help with my acne. I recommand doing this at night because it contains salicylic acid.

DECEMBER GLAMBAG

heyy girls,

I received my Ipsy bag a couple of days ago. I was sooo excited because of the sneek peaks that they gave us on the Ipsy website. The theme of this month was Haute Holiday. If you don't know what Ipsy is, it is a monthly subscription where you pay 10$ in the US or 14$ in Canada per month to receive a little makeup bag full of deluxe samples and full-sized beauty products. In my opinion, I really think Ipsy is worth it because you can try products without spending a lot of money and I also think that it is perfect for people like me that are building their makeup collection and want to experiment with products before buying full size. Let's see what I got in my bag this month...

left to right: Mai Couture, Be a Bombshell Cosmetics, NYX, Mirabella and Urban Decay

First thing that I got was the Mai Couture Highlighter Papier. There are 25 sheets in this booklet. You use it to highlight the high points of your face like the top of your cheekbones and the bridge of your nose. The packaging is sooo pretty! I'm really happy with that product. The full size contains 50 sheets and costs 28$. You can buy that product at www.maicouture.com.

Nail of the week: Candy cane feat. Sally Hansen Rapid Red

heyy girls,

this week I've been trying christmas theme nails. I did a candy cane pattern on the thumb. It was so simple and I think that anyone can do this. Here is the list of products you need if you want to try out the candy cane pattern...

What you will need:
- Base coat
- Red nailpolish
-White nailpolish
-Scotch tape
-Top coat

First thing you want to do is to paint your nails with the base coat. That way, they can be protected from the other nailpolish. I used Revlon Quick Dry base coat.

Review: Clinique dramatically different moisturizer gel

heyy girls,

two weeks ago I went to Sephora to buy a gift for my mom because it was her birthday and I decided to get a new moisturizer because I ran out of mine. I used to use Avène Clean-Ac wich is for acne-prone sensitive skin. I've heard good things about the Clinique dramatically different moisturizing gel so I decided to pick the 50 ml size to try it out and see if I like it...

Before I give my opinion on that product I just want to describe you my skin type to give you an idea. I have combination oily skin but during the winter I get very dry on the apples of my cheek and around my mouth and my nose. In that time of year I need a good moisturizer because nobody likes to have dry skin ;)

The Clinique moisturizing gel has a light yellow color and doesn't leave a residue on your skin. This formula is for combination oily to oily skin. It's oil free, allergy tested and 100% fragrance free. It claim to work to improve skin's texture and condition. I have to say that it is true and I'm in love with that moisturizer. It didn't break me out. I recommanded to everyone even people with oily skin. The only down side is that there isn't a pump for the smallest size wich is the one that I got but the two other sizes have a pump.

Haul: B&BW and Walmart

heyyy girls,
Recently I went with my friends at the mall and I got a little crazy, but that's okay. I won't be shopping for a while anyway. So first I went to Bath and Body Works and I bought A LOT of stuffs...

I got two candles because they were having a 2 for 30$ sale. Originally they are 20$ each so I thought it was the right moment to stock up on christmas candles ;)
The first candle I got was the Winter Candy Apple wich is a blend of candied apples and spices orange zest, with a touch of winter musk. I also got the Mahogany Teakwood wich is a fine woods fragrances of mahogany, cedarwood and oak with lavender and geranium notes. This one smells just like an abercrombie & fitch store! Those are 3-wick candles and the burn 30 to 45 hours. Bath and Body Works also had their 3 for 5$ hand sanitizer gel. I got three of them in warm vanilla sugar, paris amour and midnight pomegranate. Also, when I was waiting in line I decided to take a pink lufa and a mini country chic parfum.
